Layton is a city in Davis County, Utah (UT), United States. It is part of the Ogden-Clearfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 81,773. It is the 11th largest city in Utah and the 446th largest city in the United States. Layton is currently growing at a rate of 1.05% annually and its population has increased by 19.61% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 67,311 in 2010. Spanning over 23 miles, Layton has a population density of 3,580 people per square mile. Layton is the most populous city in Davis County and the eleventh most populous in Utah.

Layton, UT has direct access to Salt Lake City, Ogden, Salt Lake City International Airport, Antelope Island, and the FrontRunner commuter rail. Layton City is a leader in economic development for the region, with immediate adjacency to Hill Air Force Base, a large hospitality district and conference center, the Layton Hills Mall, East Gate Business Park, and the Weber State University-Davis campus. In 2014, Layton contributed $1.34 billion worth of retail sales activity, the second-largest market north of Salt Lake City and the seventh-largest in Utah.
